Your Biggest Challenge As A Freelance ESL Teacher

Teaching English as a freelancer is an amazing and very rewarding experience. It can also be filled with many difficulties and headaches – like any career choice.

Hi, my name is Aaron, and I have been a freelance ESL teacher and ESL small business owner in Mexico City for the past 16 years. I have failed miserably, but I’ve also had a great deal of success.

I believe that teaching English is a rewarding and noble profession because you are investing your time and effort in helping someone else in a practical way. I also believe that you can make a great living at it if you know how to run your business, and stay away from a few traps you’ll find along the way.

The trouble is, most TESL courses I’ve seen do a great job of teaching you about the art of teaching English to someone else. But I’ve never seen one teach you about the business side of being a successful ESL teacher, and that’s what this blog and website will be all about.

My hope is that I can help you avoid the failures I fell into, while sharing the things I got right so that you can repeat them or even do them better.

Sound good? Please head over to my blog to find out more…
